Please support my Rwanda Fellowship

I am excited to share with you that I will be joining Shooting Touch, an international sport-for-development nonprofit, as part of their Rwanda Fellowship Program! With programs in Boston, MA and Rwanda, East Africa, Shooting Touch uses the mobilizing power of basketball to educate and inspire youth, women, and their communities to live healthier lives. In Rwanda, Shooting Touch serves over 1,000 youth, ages 7-21, and 1,800 women 21+ in six rural communities in the country’s Eastern Province.

As the Marketing & Development Fellow, I will be living and serving in rural Shooting Touch communities, focusing on crafting and amplifying Shooting Touch’s organizational narrative while cultivating relationships with local and international partners. Alongside their team of local coaches, I will also help deliver Shooting Touch’s custom designed on/off-court health-education curriculum, organize health and gender equity awareness events, and much more.

I am reaching out today in hopes that you will kindly support my on-ground work in Rwanda. Every Fellow embarking on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is required to raise a minimum of $4,000 to support the amazing communities we serve with resources such as health care coverage, disease testing, health education, and daily basketball programming. I truly appreciate every life-changing contribution!

With gratitude,

Alex
