About Shooting Touch:
Shooting Touch is an international sport-for-development organization whose mission is to use the mobilizing power of basketball to bridge health and opportunity gaps for youth and women facing racial, gender, and economic inequalities.
Since its inception in 2007, Shooting Touch has grown from a grassroots basketball program in Boston to an international non-governmental organization that serves more than 30,000 youth and women each year in Boston and Rwanda. Shooting Touch was founded on the premise of the convening power of sport with the aim to help improve the lives of underserved individuals by using basketball to achieve three critical objectives:
Provide equal access to physical activity
Increase access to health education and health services
Promote social change
