WNBA x State Street x Shooting Touch Celebrate Women’s Sports in Boston

October 5, 2025 - In Boston, Shooting Touch, State Street Investment Management, and the WNBA came together to celebrate a shared goal: growing the future of women’s sports.

The day began on our Shooting Touch Boston home court in Hyde Park, where Shooting Touch athletes trained side by side with WNBA players Veronica Burton (Valkyries), Tyasha Harris (Wings), Marina Mabrey (Sun), and Courtney Vandersloot (Sky). The energy on the court was unmatched — a moment of connection, inspiration, and pure joy.

That evening, the celebration continued at MGM Music Hall Fenway for a Game 2 Watch Party of the WNBA Finals. Hosted by Melisa Valdez, the event featured Lisa Leslie, Hailey Van Lith (Sky), Rickea Jackson (Sparks), Kelsey Plum (Sparks), and Kiki Iriafen (Mystics) — bringing together Boston’s women’s sports community under one roof to share an unforgettable night celebrating the game we love.

"This partnership exemplifies how investing at the community level is more critical than ever," said Lindsey Kittredge, Co-Founder and Head of Development at Shooting Touch. "The future of women’s sports, and the positive physical, social, and mental health outcomes it can deliver for thousands of young girls, will only be realized if access and opportunity are truly available to all."

With support from Allied Sports, and our partners State Street Investment Management and the WNBA, the event underscored a vital truth: as women’s basketball continues to grow, community-level investment is more important than ever. Access and opportunity remain the foundation for the next generation of athletes — and the future of the game itself.
