The Kossengwe Basketball Foundation and Academy has three main goals;
To teach African young men and women the “micro details” of basketball fundamentals and skill development they will need to improve as players. Camps and clinics are held in various countries throughout Africa each year.
To educate African young men and women on various themes such as democracy, good governance, environment, women's rights, illegal immigration, HIV/AIDS and health. The Academy hosts guest speaker series at each camp where at least one of these themes are addressed in during an open discussion session with the campers and coaches.
To encourage excellence by providing scholarships (if available) to the campers who have the profile to pursue their education and basketball career in the United States.
