Check out the Today Show's amazing new special feature on Bob Hurley to get an inside perspective on the small empire that the Hall of Fame coach built during his tenure at St. Anthony's. See how the high school coaching legend cranked out Division 1 and NBA level talent year after year and how he revolutionized the game of high school basketball.
Over the past 4 years, Shooting Touch has raised enough funding to provide over 250 scholarships for Boston's inner city youth to attend our annual, week long kids camp with Hall of Fame Coach Bob Hurley each July.
The response for this opportunity is amazing and our staff continues to be inspired each year by the smiles and passion we have seen in return. In order to be eligible, each player must come from a gross household income of $50,000 or less. Each player must also write a hand written letter as to why they think they deserve the opportunity and describe how the sport of basketball has influenced their young lives.
With generous donors and persistent fundraising efforts, we hope to continue to provide our city's youth with this great opportunity. For one week in July, every child at our camp is on the same playing field, all having fun and working together to become better basketball players on and off the court.
