AJ is from a small town in Massachusetts called Marion where he grew up breathing basketball. He has been in the lead role of summer basketball camps with hopes to one day play professionally. When the realization set in that he would not make it to the NBA, he shifted his focus towards a career in business. He was always captivated with coaching young players on competitive teams, and his greatest sense of pride comes from seeing them triumph to a win. With this love for the game he currently attends Babson College where he is pursuing a career in Human Resources with a goal of positively influencing the culture of an organization that values its employees and their development. He hopes to apply his human resources knowledge, as well as his basketball expertise, to his internship at Shooting Touch.

My name is Alessandra Spisso I was born and raised in Valencia, Venezuela. However, my upbringing was Venezuelan and Italian mixture due to the origins of my parents. Therefore, since I was very little, I learned to speak both Spanish and Italian. At the age of 15 I had to move to Boston, Massachusetts all by myself. In a short period of time I had to learn the English Language and at the same time re-started my high school career. After high school graduation I started my college career and now at 22 years of age I am currently studying at Suffolk University pursuing a Bachelors degree in International Relations with a minor in Fine Arts. Having the opportunity to live in the U.S., to study abroad in London last fall 2015, and to travel the world, I find it fascinating learning about new cultures. I also enjoy being able to meet new people and listening to their story. I believe that experiencing culture shock can have such a big positive impact. Having this personal experience, it has helped me shape my personality significantly by not only surviving during periods of loneliness but also by teaching me to trust myself and to develop a thicker skin. It has helped me to expand my social circle all around the world. And most important, it has taught me the valuable lesson that, despite our differences, we are all similar and interconnected.
I am Alexis Zajac and I am a senior at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. My major is Graphic Design/Digital Media with a concentration in Web Technologies. I will be graduating in the summer of 2016 after I complete an internship at Shooting Touch in Norwood, Massachusetts. I am from a small town in Massachusetts and first became interested in Graphic and Web Design in High School. I want to create designs that empower and make organizations well known. After creating a design that helps someone or something, I feel very accomplished. The career path I wish to take is a visual designer so I can design for print and web. My favorite aspect of design is web because it brings a design to life. I want to continue growing with the industry and always be learning new things. As you can see from my portfolio, my design style is detailed oriented but I am willing to try new design aspects and try to make each of my designs unique.

My name is Jaime Grant and I have concentrated in Graphic Design at my University. Working in the Marketing and Communications department at Shooting Touch will allow me to reach my ultimate goal, changing the world while using my skills. As a graphic designer I hope to not just make intriguing pieces of work but to use my work as a way of communicating to the masses. I hope to inform the world about the power of Shooting Touch and the mission that is established. I believe that Shooting Touch is a phenomenal program and with my skills and passion for changing lives this organization will be fulfilled this summer at Shooting Touch. Not to undermine, I cannot keep myself away from playing basketball and since I cannot play at a professional level I am eager to have the opportunity to work with a non-profit organization that use this sport as an empowering tool to educate and inspire young people around the world. I have played basketball throughout my life, did not play in college (hard sacrifice) so that I would be able to be a Resident Assistant (RA) and focus on my blessing in communicating through art, both on paper and the computer. Now I can finally get the opportunity to display my work and hope for my sacrifices to continue to be rewarding

Human Resources Intern
My name is Katelyn Turner and I am a senior at the University of Massachusetts Boston. I am majoring in Management with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Change. I will be graduating in May of 2017. I am from Stoughton Massachusetts, which is about twenty minutes south of Boston. I have been working at Stop and Shop for four years as an assistant front-end manager and cash office clerk. Working there sparked my interest in pursuing a degree in management. I grew up playing basketball, softball and field hockey and have seen the impact playing a sport has on a person, which is part of the reason why I was attracted to Shooting Touch. After I graduate in May, I hope to find a job that can get my foot in the door in the Human Resources department of a company.
