Applicants for the Shooting Touch Sabbatical Program will be American graduating seniors attending any college or university within the United States.

Each student will be required to submit a written application explaining the following:
  • Why he/she is the best candidate for this grant;
  • What he/she will bring to each mission;
  • How each candidate plans to bring his/her own contributions to each suggested affiliate organization if they choose to partner with them;
  • Explain in full what role the game of basketball has played in his/her life.

The application pool is narrowed down to the top (5) finalists at which point each candidate creates a video presentation including more information on a personal biography, the work program he/she would like to pursue and a detailed, convincing reasoning why he/she is the best candidate for the job. The presentations are then circulated to our Board of Directors and each Board member votes on the candidate they best see fit for the Sabbatical Program.

Applicant(s) will be reviewed on his/her academic success, diverse background, experience with the sport of basketball, overall enthusiasm for the game, his/her role and approach to their individual work program.

Both men AND women will be considered. Our goal is to review all applicants and choose the most diverse, experienced and passionate candidate as possible - an individual who convinces us that they can impact the global community and promote plosive social change through the game of basketball.

All applicants will be notified by the 10th of February, 2011 if they have been chosen for the Grant.
